On the private Singita Grumeti reserve, in the northwest of Tanzania, on the border of the Serengeti National Park, there are three deluxe lodges: Sasakwa, Sabora and Faru Faru, sprinkled over more than 140,000 hectares of preserved wilderness.
Faru Faru, which overlooks the Grumeti river, makes for an ideal observation deck for watching the animals that come to this watering hole year-round. The lodge has been designed like a very modern loft with blonde woods, translucent glass and contemporary furniture dominating: this “barefoot elegance” welcomes you in gigantic bedrooms facing the river as well as in the living areas.
Built and decorated in the classic safari style of eastern Africa and inspired by colonial times, the lodge includes 8 suites, including one that can welcome 4 people. Each suite has a bathroom with a bathtub and outdoor shower. They all offer sublime views thanks to large bay windows and the veranda which comes with a telescope. Also at your disposal, two swimming pools, a boma, a library and of course… a Spa.
Faru Faru River Lodge can be privatised year-round from 6,650 euros per person including return flights, transfers, 5 nights in the lodge with full board as well as one night at the Arusha Coffee Lodge upon arrival and a room made available for the return trip, owing to flight connections.
