The Hotel Amigo is a mecca among grand hotels, where the world’s leaders, celebrities, artists,
businessmen and discerning travellers stay. Built in 1957 by the Blatons, a family of entrepreneurs,
for the World’s Fair of 1958. In 2000, the hotel joined the Rocco Forte luxury hotels collection and
was entirely renovated by Olga Polizzi, Sir Rocco’s sister. She succeeded in creating a design hotel
that is absolutely contemporary while preserving the soul and historic heritage of this elegant building.
Especially impressive are the blue granite slabs dating from the 16th century and the Flemish and
Aubusson tapestries.
The 174 rooms and suites are extremely comfortable with modern furniture and soft natural hues
enhanced with touches of red, blue and green. The marble bathrooms are illustrated by images of
Tintin, Hergé’s trademark character.
The pinnacle of supreme luxury is found in the sumptuous Blaton Suite with its 60 m² terrace and
panoramic views on the town hall.
A stone’s throw from the Grand Place, one of the most beautiful plazas in the world, the Hotel Amigo
enjoys a perfect location in the heart of the vibrant city of Brussels.
Depending on your mood, you may savour a Belgian beer on a sunny terrace or take a stroll in the
picturesque little streets lined with antique shops while enjoying a delicious chocolate waffle.
