The Augustine was created from seven historic buildings, the
largest of which is the 13th century The Augustinian St Thomas's
Monastery after which the hotel was named.
Located in the
Mala Strana district near the Prague Castle, the hotel offers the
best of the timeless style and elegance of Prague. You can
enjoy the private gardens, the various courtyards and the cloisters
of the monastery building.Several practicing friars still live in
separate part of the monastery, adjacent to the hotel grounds.
The rooms have been decorated combining contemporary
Czech Cubism furniture and design with traditional features.
All the rooms have stunning views over the courtyards, the
monastery chapel or Prague Castle.
Many have vaulted ceilings
and original doors. The Monastery Restaurant is housed in
a glass covered courtyard and Tom's Bar is located in the barrel-
vaulted double height hall, featuring stunning baroque frescos
and views of the Sun Dial garden. You can sit out in the
cloister terrace in the summer or savor fine wines and cocktails
in the exclusive Brewery Bar located in the original Augustine
brewery.Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the Augustine Spa
where luxurious treatments are inspired by the simplicity and
purity of nature and ancient Beer recipes for the Augustinian
order of monks. Opened in 2009, the Augustine has rapidly
become one of the best addresses in historical Prague.
