Journey in the Time in Amanfayun Resort, China

Hangzou, 125 miles of Shangaï

Opened at the start of this year, the second Chinese property of Amanresorts picked out a hidden valley for its home, 20 minutes from Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejian, south of Shanghai. Founded more than 2,000 years ago, this former capital of the Song dynasty has often been considered the most beautiful city in China, with temples and pagodas on the banks of the majestic West Lake.
The hotel’s goal is to have you experience from the inside this rich cultural legacy. Home to seven temples from the Tang Dynasty, the resort is made up of 47 traditional lodgings that have been cleverly restored: earthenware tiles, supporting wood structures, walls and floors in local stone… the whole thing shines with incomparable character. In all, 42 rooms, suites and villas offering all modern comforts without compromising the authenticity of this place.
