People’s Republic of China: Beijing

China World Summit Wing: A birds-eye view!

Open since last summer, the Shangri-La group’s new urban gem is located between the 64th and 81st floors of the World Trade Centre, stretching 330 metres above the Chinese capital. The business community has flocked to this establishment since the day it opened, but its charms will surely appeal to tourists as well. The forbidden city and Tiananmen Square are just 15 minutes by car, or 5 minutes as the crow flies! The lobby sets the carefully orchestrated tone of considerable size and good taste, boasting giant chandeliers with glass bubbles reflecting the gilded décor. More than 100 works of art embellish the common rooms, and the average surface area of the 278 rooms and suites is 65 m². Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisines are the order of the day, and a hydrotherapy centre on the 79th floor guarantees total relaxation high above the city’s hustle and bustle.
