St Regis Bangkok: Timeless elegance

The opening of this first St. Regis in Thailand, though scheduled for 1 April, is hardly an April fool’s joke. Serious investment and ambition are involved in this luxury hotel, which is new to the region: 176 rooms, 51 suites and 53 apartments spread out between the 12th and 24th floors of a brand-new, 47-story high rise. The group chose contemporary elegance here, in keeping with the cosmopolitan capital’s energy, foregoing a more traditional Asian décor. Among the pleasant pastimes on offer are the Elemis spa and outdoor pool, JoJo’s Italian cuisine, or the Viu restaurant’s more contemporary fare, while overlooking the sparkling city. The rooms include floor to ceiling windows and measure from 44 to 300 m², among the largest in the city.
