The Seven: Alice in Slumberland

A glamorous cocoon or fanciful dream, this hotel on a quiet, nondescript street in the 5th arrondissement never fails to impress. The traditional hotel frame of mind is shattered here, giving free rein to the power of imagination. The beds are suspended in the middle of the room to better escape material considerations, light streams from the floor and walls to challenge visitors’ perception, and translucent furniture seems to float in midair. Certain rooms also offer hanging bathtubs. 28 rooms and 7 suites with different themes, created by four innovative designers, invite guests to explore their inner selves: James Bond for a night in the 007 suite, or a libertine courting in the Marie-Antoinette suite. While there is no restaurant in the hotel, there is a colourful lounge-bar, wine cellar and spa, bringing visitors one step closer to 7th heaven.
